Congratulations to Dr. Birgit Frauscher - Research Grant Savoy FoundationPublished Tue May 10th 2016
The Department of Medicine congratulates Dr. Birgit Frauscher on receipt of a research grant from the Savoy Epilepsy Foundation for her project "Development of a 3-D atlas of normal brain activity to separate physiological from pathological ECG activity in human epilepsy".
Dr. Frauscher is the primary investigator of the project. The funding is $25,000.00 for a one year period (June 2016 - June 2017). The Savoy Foundation is the only Canadian Foundation dedicated to support research in the field of Epilepsy. The project aims in developing a 3-D atlas of normal brain activity (as assessed with intracanial EEC) in order to separate physiological from pathological epileptic EEG activity.
Collaborating partners are Dr. Gotman/Dubeau at McGill University, Dr. Dang Nguyen at the University of Montreal and Dr. Philippe Kahane at the Univerity of Grenoble.
