The Department of Medicine congratulates Dr. Stephen Archer, Head of the Department of Medicine at Queen's University, Kingston on the recent designation as a "Distinguished Scientist" of the American Heart Association (AHA).
The "Distinguished Scientist" designation was created in 2003 to honour American Heart Association (AHA) / American Stroke Association (ASA) members who have made extraordinary contributions to cardiovascular and stroke research. This title recognizes your seminal research work that has importantly advanced our understanding, management, and treatment of cardiovascular disease or stroke.
A presentation will be made to Dr. Archer at the AHA Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, LA on November 12 to 16, 2016.
