Healthier, Wealthier, Smarter - "Ontario's Research Hospitals" Field Trip: Kingston
The latest edition of the Council of Academic Hospitals newsletter entitled "Healthier, Wealthier, Smarter" focuses on the medical research happening at the three main hospitals in Kingston and at Queen's University; in particular our own faculty of the Department of Medicine!
Read about Dr. Anne Ellis and her team and learn about their research and validation of new treatments for hay fever and other allergies. Their Environmental Exposure Unit (EEU) lab provides a controlled atmosphere to produce and evaluate symptoms and is internationally recognized as the gold standard for testing airborne allergens.
Dr. John Puxty explains the benefits of the new Providence Care Hospital which opens later in 2016.
