Promotion Process 2017/18Published Wed Apr 19th 2017
The promotion process for 2017/2018 is underway once again. Some key dates to remember for this process are listed below:
- No later than August 1, appointees must advise the Department Head of their wish to be considered for promotion
- No later than August 15, the Department Head shall provide a list to the committee of those who wish to be considered
- No later than September 1, appointee provides CV, teaching dossier, summary of contributions and list of potential referees
For promotion to Associate Professor:
A minimum of four referees are required, at least 3 external to Queen's.
For promotion to Professor:
A minimum of 5 referees are required, at least 4 to be external.
All referees must be at arms-length from the appointees.
