  • Promotion Process 2017/18

    The promotion process for 2017/2018 is underway once again.  Some key dates to remember for this process are listed below:

    • No later than August 1, appointees must advise the Department Head of their wish to be considered for promotion
    • No later than August 15, the Department Head shall provide a list to the committee of those who wish to be considered
    • No later than September 1, appointee provides CV, teaching dossier, summary of contributions and list of potential referees
    Special note:

    For promotion to Associate Professor:
    A minimum of four referees are required, at least 3 external to Queen's.

    For promotion to Professor:
    A minimum of 5 referees are required, at least 4 to be external.

    All referees must be at arms-length from the appointees.
