Dr. Gill’s clinical roles include working within Specialized Geriatrics services (Providence Care) on the Acute Care Consult Team, Gibson 3 inpatient geriatric rehabilitation ward, and geriatric medicine clinics in Kingston. He also is the physician on a monthly satellite clinic in Belleville (at Quinte Health Care - Belleville General Hospital).
Dr. Gill is faculty for the Critical Enquiry course, and for the Clinical Skills course. He provides supervision of the core Internal Medicine trainees' monthly Journal Club in addition to providing co-supervision of the joint Geriatric Psychiatry/Geriatric Medicine Journal Club.
Dr. Gill is an invited member of a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) operating grants review panel (the Health Services 2 panel). He also is an appointed member of the Ontario Committee to Evaluate Drugs (CED), which is an advisory committee to the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as it makes decisions about which medications to include on the publicly funded provincial formulary.
At Queen’s University, he is an invited member of Senate Advisory Research Committee (2009-2012), as well as an invited member of the AHSC AFP Innovation Fund grant application review committee.
Dr. Gill is an invited member of the Department of Medicine Promotions Committee. Currently, he is the Chair of the Providence Care Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
