Key Expectations for the Mentee

  1. Understand your role description.
  2. Take ownership of your career development and be prepared to commit time and energy to the mentorship process.
  3. Engage in the process including setting goals, be open to feedback and suggestions, provide honest self assessment, and being adequately prepared for meetings with your mentor.
  4. Participate in faculty development.
  5. Maintain confidentiality of the relationship.
  6. Notify the Director if the mentorship program is not progressing successfully.
