Kingston WritersFest - Dr. Chris Simpson Discusses Physician Assisted Death in "The Big Idea: A Good Death"

Published Tue Aug 09/16 2:00pm.

Kingston WritersFest is an annual event that is held in Kingston with a vision of celebrating the power of written word by connecting writers and readers in conversations that inspire, engage, and change our worldview.

The event is formatted to enable you to interact with authors and experts who read and discuss their work. This environment is conducive to open discussion and will stir attendee’s thoughts as you actively join the conversation with audience participation and questions.

At this year’s WritersFest, Dr. Chris Simpson, Chair of the Division of Cardiology and Past-President of the Canadian Medical Association, will participate in a discussion around physician-assisted death.  Alongside Dr. Simpson will be Sandra Martin, author of ‘A Good Death: Making the Most of our Final Choices’, Andre Picard of the Globe and Mail, as well as Dr. Udo Schuklenk, Professor of Philosophy at Queen’s University.

To attend this lively discussion, tickets can be purchased here.
