
Dr. Marcotte completed her medical training at Queen’s University, and worked as a community general internist before joining the Division of General Internal Medicine at Queen’s in 2012. She is currently the Program Director of the postgraduate subspecialty training program in General Internal Medicine, and the CBME Lead for the Division, and was previously Director of the Internal Medicine Clinical Teaching Units (CTUs).
She has spent the last few years immersed in CBME, designing and implementing a fully competency-based training program. Her main interests are in education, clinical skills, feedback and assessment. Her clinical work is mainly carried out on the inpatient units at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, as well as the GIM consult service.
