Dr. Baharnoori is an assistant professor in the division of neurology and a specialist in multiple sclerosis and related neuro-inflammatory disorders. She is the medical director of the multidisciplinary MS clinic in Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Kingston MS clinic is the designated MS care center in the southeastern Ontario. Dr. Baharnoori received her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. She moved to Canada shortly after graduation and earned her Masters Degree in Neuroscience in University of Montreal followed by a PhD in Neuroimmunology at McGill University. She then completed her neurology residency in University of Toronto in 2015. She was awarded Canadian Network of MS Clinics (CNMSC) fellowship scholarship and completed a two years MS fellowship in Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Baharnoori is actively involved in post graduate medical education. She is the chair of the competency committee of neurology residency program in Queen’s university. Her research interests are MS pharmacotherapy and risk mitigation strategies, biomarkers of treatment response, neurodegeneration and mechanisms of repair in MS and Neuromyelitis Optica.
