This research team, which includes Drs. James, Hindmarch, Renwick, and Tyryshkin successfully received an Inaugural TIME Incubator Grant worth $75K to support a project focused on understanding the transcriptional characterization of the response of endothelial cells from patients with Type 1 von Willebrand disease and normal controls to stimulation with a secretagogue. This work was the primary focus of the thesis research carried out by MSc student Robbie Kloosterman, who successfully defended his degree in April of 2021. This is an excellent example of how a multidisciplinary translational research team can use TIME incubator grants to convert dollars into data!
