COVID-19 Update: The COVID-19 incidence and prevalence remain stable in Kingston and KFL&A. There are a total of 55 cases in the region. There is only 1 COVID-19 patient in KGH and they are in ICU. Our point prevalence for KFLA testing (% positive/total tests) is 3.1 %.

COVID-19 Update: The COVID-19 incidence and prevalence remain stable in Kingston and KFL&A. There are a total of 55 cases in the region. There is only 1 COVID-19 patient in KGH and they are in ICU. At KHSC we did 1100 tests over the past few days with only 2 positive tests from the Kingston area. Thus we have <1% point prevalence. It is estimated that our peak case load in the SELHIN may occur in mid-May.

COVID-19 Update: Things are very stable in Kingston and our incidence curve remains flat. There are a total of 55 cases in the region and there have only been 2 new cases in the KFLA region in the past week. There are no new cases in the past 3 days. There are 2 patients with COVID-19 infection currently admitted to KGH on Medicine’s COVID-19 unit. Our point prevalence (% of COVID-19 tests that are positive) remains < 5%. In fact, in the last 3 days only 8/737 tests (1%) tests at the KHSC lab were positive.

COVID-19 Update: There are 53 people with COVID-19 infection today in our region (one less than yesterday because a preliminary positive test was ruled negative). We did 208 COVID-19 tests this morning alone and the 6 positive tests were once again from outside Kingston. The disease point prevalence (positive/total tests) has actually decreased from 5.2% last week to 4.5%, a reduction that has occurred despite increased testing. There remain 4 patients admitted to KGH, 2 on the Medicine’s COVID-19 unit and 2 in ICU.
