Dr. Maziar Emamikhah MD

Dr. Maziar Emamikhah is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, at Queen’s University and a neurologist with subspecialty training in movement disorders. He completed his medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and his neurology residency at Iran University of Medical Sciences, ranking first in the Iranian National Neurology Board Examination. He subsequently served as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Iran University of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Emamikhah completed a clinical fellowship in Movement Disorders at Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network, at the University of Toronto. His clinical interests include Parkinson’s disease, progressive supranuclear palsy, atypical parkinsonian disorders, tremor, and dystonia. His academic interests focus on the clinical characterization of neurodegenerative movement disorders and the development of biomarkers, including fluid-based and transcranial ultrasound biomarkers. His academic interests also include medical education, the application of artificial intelligence in medicine, electrophysiology in movement disorders, and multidisciplinary patient care.
