Hemostasis/Thrombosis
The Division has a major focus on the clinical and basic science of hemostasis. Dr. David Lillicrap studies the molecular genetics of von Willebrand disease and gene therapy of hemophilia. Dr. Paula James has taken a lead role in developing a clinical and translational research program into the pathophysiology and impact of von Willebrand disease and other bleeding disorders.

Dr. Annette Hay is a Senior Investigator at The Canadian Cancer Trials Group. The attending physicians in Hematology participate in clinical trials. Dr. Wheaton contributes to a number of paediatric studies through the Children's Oncology Group.

Dr. Michael Rauh studies the genetic and immune origins of clonal hematopoiesis (CHIP) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and the clinical translation of myeloid next-generation sequencing (NGS).
