Dr. Gaya Balasubramaniam obtained her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience, Biochemistry and Immunology at the University of Toronto, followed by her medical degree at the University of Ottawa. She went on to complete her Neurology Residency at Queen’s University and subsequently pursued an EEG fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital with a focus on the management of women with epilepsy.
Her academic and clinical interests include medical education, where she hopes to inspire trainees to develop a deeper appreciation for the field of neurology, as well as optimizing care for women with epilepsy across the reproductive life span.
