Dr. Steven Katz is a rheumatologist and professor of medicine at Queen's University. He graduated from medical school and internal medicine training at the University of Manitoba, while completing his rheumatology training at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Katz holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education from the University of Dundee. He served as Director of the Rheumatology and Core Internal Medicine training programs at the University of Alberta and has received numerous teaching and mentoring awards for his work in education, including a Certificate of Merit from the Canadian Association of Medical Education.
Dr. Katz’s interests include access to care and quality of care in rheumatology, as well as developing models and technology to optimize care for people with rheumatic diseases. He has also created public-facing websites such as AlbertaRheumatology.com and RheumDAS.com.
