COVID-19 Update: There are no new cases of COVID-19 locally today. There are 59 cases of COVID-19 in our region. These 2 new cases occurred over the weekend: 1 case from the community and 1 at Providence Manor. There are 2 COVID-19 patients in KGH today, 1 in the ICU and 1 on the Connell 3 COVID-19 ward. Yesterday 362 SARS-CoV-2 tests were performed at KGH and 9 were positive; however, none of the positive tests were from the KFL&A region.

COVID-19 Update: There are no new cases locally today. But over the weekend we did have 1 case from the community and 1 at Providence Manor. There are 2 COVID-19 patients in KGH today. Yesterday 368 SARS-CoV-2 tests were performed at KGH and 9 were positive; however, none were from the KFL&A region. As was the case last week, these positive tests were from communities further to the west (Peterborough) and north (Perth Smith Falls).

COVID-19 Update: The COVID-19 prevalence has changed in Kingston and KFL&A. There are 2 new cases locally today, 1 case from the community and 1 at Providence Manor. Of 192 COVID-19 tests done at KHSC, 7 were positive (2 from Belleville). This shows that the virus is both present in and circulating closer to Kingston than before. The other 5 positive tests were again (as was the case last week) from communities further to the west (Peterborough) and north (Perth Smith Falls). There remains only 1 COVID-19 patient in KGH and they are in ICU.

COVID-19 Update: The COVID-19 incidence and prevalence remain stable in Kingston and KFL&A. There are no new cases locally today. There remains only 1 COVID-19 patient in KGH and they are in ICU. This is consistent with a message I have been conveying since the first note: While we stand with our colleagues globally we are guided by local/regional evidence.

COVID-19 Update: The COVID-19 incidence and prevalence remain stable in Kingston and KFL&A. There are no new cases locally today. There remains only 1 COVID-19 patient in KGH and they are in ICU. Of 263 tests done recently there have been 5 new positives; but again these are from people in and around Peterborough and Lindsay and Perth-Smith Falls. There have only been 2 new cases in the KFL&A area in the past 7 days. Thus we have a much lower rate of positive tests in our region than is seen provincially or nationally.

COVID-19 Update: The COVID-19 incidence and prevalence remain stable in Kingston and KFL&A. There are a total of 55 cases in the region. There is only 1 COVID-19 patient in KGH and they are in ICU. Our point prevalence for KFLA testing (% positive/total tests) is 3.1 %.
