Dr. Richard Veldhoen joined the Departments of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine as adjunct faculty in June 2023. He completed his MD at Queen’s Medical School, as well as his residency in Queen’s Internal Medicine, and a combined fellowship in General Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine at Queen’s University. His graduate training includes an MSc Biochemistry at the University of Alberta as well as an MSc in Medical Statistics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
His clinical interests include acute care inpatient general internal medicine and general medical/surgical intensive care. His academic interests include patient outcomes in trials/observational data as well as the use of large observational datasets. He currently also attends in the Quinte Healthcare Belleville intensive care unit.
