Dr. Adams joined the Queen’s Department of Medicine Faculty in 1990 as an interventional cardiologist. He started the Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) program at KHSC, and in 2000 lead the team to become the first PCI lab in Ontario to provide 24/7 Primary PCI for STEMI. In addition to a busy clinical practice, Dr. Adams has also served for many years in various important Cardiology administrative roles including postgraduate training Program Director, Division Chair, and Cardiology Service Chief. He has recently changed his position to an adjunct faculty appointment with the department and continues to be an active clinical member in the PCI lab, inpatient services and outpatient stress testing.
