Ruaa is a PGY-4 Cardiology resident. She completed her medical degree at the University of Baghdad and later completed a Master’s in Translational Medicine, followed by Internal Medicine training at Queen’s University. Her academic work centers on pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular failure, focusing on inflammatory and epigenetic mechanisms with a translational focus on improving diagnosis and treatment.
She looks forward to continuing to grow in cardiology while contributing to patient care and academic work. Outside of medicine, she enjoys travel, hiking, and time in nature, often seeking out quieter moments to recharge.
