Dr. Bryce Alexander joined the Department of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology in September 2025. He completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Queen’s University in 2018, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine (2018-2021) and Cardiology (2021-2024) at Queen’s University. He then completed fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure, Transplantation, and Mechanical Circulatory Support at the University of Toronto. His clinical interests include cardiogenic shock, temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac intensive care. His research interests include cardiogenic shock, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, implantable electronic cardiac devices, and heart failure therapeutics. His research work has been published in leading medical journals including Circulation, Canadian Medical Association Journal, Nature Reviews Cardiology, JAMA Internal Medicine, and JACC: Advances, among others.
