Dr. Lourdes Ramírez Hobak is an Internationally trained Dermatologist and Mycologist with over 9 years of clinical, teaching, and research experience. She has practiced in diverse settings, including high-volume clinics, serving all age groups, pregnant women, and admitted patients. Dr. Ramírez Hobak completed her medical education at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and subsequently pursued a postgraduate clinical fellowship in Canada at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre through the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience in community care, focusing on skin cancer and mycetoma in underserved populations. She has a special research interest in tropical diseases and conducted the first metagenomics analysis on the role of microbiota in mycetoma disease.
Dr. Ramírez Hobak believes there is a strong demand for qualified practitioners to assist in preventative care and management of complex, chronic skin diseases. She brings not only International and Canadian experience in healthcare and teaching but also empathy and excellence in customer service. Dr. Ramírez Hobak is committed to continuing research to better assess and understand the needs and priorities of the people she treats. Additionally, she aims to encourage the education of patients, families, and communities to promote healthy habits and prevent skin diseases.
