Dr. Johanna Murphy is an internist and Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Queen’s University. She completed medicine and internal medicine residency training at the University of Toronto. She worked in GIM and critical care in the community in Nova Scotia for eight years before returning to academic medicine at Queen’s in 2010.
Dr. Murphy attends on the clinical teaching inpatient medical unit, and also has an outpatient GIM practice and has a clinical interest in bariatric medicine. She is the former Program Director for the GIM training program at Queen’s. She has an interest in education though simulation, patient safety, and medical cognitive behavioural therapy.
