Siddhartha Srivastava

Dr. Siddhartha Srivastava is an Associate Professor in General Internal Medicine at Queen's University and works at Kingston Health Science Centre. He has dual undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Biological Science from the University of Calgary, and a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the University of British Columbia. He completed medical school at the University of Calgary, and residency and subspecialty training in General Internal Medicine at Queen’s University. Dr. Srivastava subsequently joined the Division of General Internal Medicine at Queen’s University in 2016. He is formally trained in Clinical Informatics with Master of Science in Health and Clinical Informatics from Oregon Health Science University, Portland Oregon.
Dr. Srivastava’s clinical practice involves attending on the General Internal Medicine (GIM) clinical teaching units, GIM consult service, and outpatient care in perioperative medicine and refractory hypertension.
Dr. Srivastava’s academic expertise includes clinical informatics, quality improvement, and medical education. He is passionate about the integration of Digital Health technologies and information in health care settings and how it improves healthcare providers’ workflow, patient outcomes, and the healthcare system. He has implemented and evaluated several clinical information systems in hospital settings. He is a physician co-lead for the implementation of a regional Health Information System for the 6-partner hospitals in the South-East region of Ontario.
