Dr. Sean Goldhar graduated from medical school at the University of Ottawa in 2019, obtaining the University Silver Medal for second-highest overall standing through all four years (anglophone stream). He then moved to Kingston and completed family medicine residency in 2021; afterwards undertaking a year of enhanced skills training in Care of the Elderly at Queen’s. 

Dr. Goldhar is currently an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor with the Division of Geriatric Medicine. Clinically, he works primarily at Providence Care Hospital in outpatient geriatric medicine clinics and Seniors Day Rehabilitation, as well as providing coverage to the inpatient geriatric rehabilitation service. He is broadly passionate about care of the elderly, including preventive health topics, and on a larger scale is interested in developing programs / services for seniors in our community.

Sean is also passionate about teaching, with a specific interest in small-group learning, and has been involved with the Queen’s UGME program as a tutor and lecturer. His clinical responsibilities also include supervising medical learners on geriatrics rotations. His scholarly interests are primarily related to medical education, including curriculum reform and learning as it relates to family medicine / geriatrics.
