Biostatistics & Bioinformatics Services
The service provides collaborative support for both clinical and preclinical research projects.
Services include:
- Experimental design consultation
- Power and sample size calculations
- Statistical analysis of clinical and preclinical datasets
- RNA-seq, single-cell and long-read sequencing analysis
- Multi-omics integration
- Spatialomics data interpretation
- Data visualization
- Development of analysis pipelines
- Machine learning applications
- Guidance on data management, sharing and reproducibility
Statistical Analysis
Biostatistical support is available for a wide range of research questions, including comparisons between groups, adjustment for covariates and development of predictive or classification models.
Examples of analyses include:
- t-tests
- ANOVA
- Kruskal-Wallis tests
- Chi-square tests
- Fisher’s exact tests
- Adjustment for sex and other covariates
- Logistic regression
- Support vector machine models
Preparing your data
Data submitted for analysis should ideally be provided as a comma-delimited (.csv) file with:
- No blank rows or columns
- Clear and simple column headers
- A separate file defining column headers where needed
Preparing data in a consistent format helps streamline analysis and reduce delays at the start of a project.
Pricing
Omar's services are free to primary appointed faculty in the Department of Medicine (DOM). For researchers outside of DOM, these services are available for $120/hour
Planning your project
