Dr. Michelle Ricci completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Education at McGill University and Brock University. She had a short career in elementary and secondary education before returning back to school, completing a degree in Molecular Biology at Concordia, and then returned to McGill for medical school.
She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Dalhousie University at the satellite site in Saint John, New Brunswick and Gastroenterology training at Queen’s University. She returned back to New Brunswick and ran a Gastroenterology practice in Fredericton before returning to Kingston.
Having spent the first few years of her professional life as a middle school and high school teacher, Dr. Ricci has a keen interest in Medical Education, particularly in the area of assessment, as well as a budding interest in patient safety and quality improvement in endoscopy.
